Each month we hold loved ones in prayerful consciousness. We see them filled with and surrounded by the presence of God. Our thoughts of them are prayers, and at every moment we affirm the best for them. In our prayers, they have already received what they need or something better, and they are realizing their highest good. And so it is.

Pause for Peace

Because Unity believes there is great power in united prayer, one of the first actions undertaken was to ask people everywhere to hold a thought for peace in our world at 10:00 AM and again at 8:00 PM (EST). Every day at these times our prayer ministry is affirming the following prayer:

Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with God�s love in my heart.

We believe now more than ever that the world needs prayer.

Unity and Jesus

Unity recognizes and embraces the teachings and demonstrations of Jesus Christ. We believe that He was reminding people of spiritual truths that are eternal and universal - truths that other great spiritual leaders have also taught.

We believe that Jesus was the son of God just as each of us is the child of God. Jesus perfectly expressed His Oneness - His Unity - with God, but he did not present himself as a unique being. Rather He called us to follow His example, to recognize the same spiritual power within ourselves that He was able to express in His life. “What I have done you will do,” He tells his followers in the Gospel of John, “and greater things than these will you do, because I go to the Father.” In other words, Jesus Christ is a Wayshower, inviting us to follow Him into the kingdom of heaven, and available always to help us along the way.
